The specific charitable purposes of this corporation are
- To provide relief of the poor, distressed or underprivileged.
- To promote social welfare in order to (i) lessen neighborhood tensions; (ii) eliminate prejudice and discrimination; (iii) defend human and civil rights secured by law; and (iv) combat community deterioration.
- To acquire:
- single- or multi-family dwellings for rehabilitation, sale or rent to low-income persons, or for other uses that serve low-income persons or
- vacant land for the purpose of constructing residential dwellings for subsequent sale or rent to low-income persons, or other uses that serve low-income persons, or for dedication of that vacant land to public use.
